She did it!

After making Deenie and Amanda sweat it out for a while, Bumble finished her American Championship with Winners Bitch/Best of Breed on Sunday 05, September 2004 at Carroll County KC under (Canadian) judge Ms. S. Rempele

As if being the only female surrounded by five males (three Borders and two Canaan dogs) wasn't enough - Bumble really rubbed it in by coming in Season!!

Dashing Debut (despite Deenie!)

September 20, 2003 - Oxridge Kennel Club (Judge Roger Hartinger) - Winners Bitch for a five-point major.

No-one tells it like Deenie - so here goes! (I have used a "little editorial licence" - Pam)

Last Thursday I was in my kitchen cooking caramels for a brownie concoction. My phone rings at 4:30PM and it was Amanda.....
Bumble and I were at that exact time 1 hour LATE to meet up with Amanda who then had to drive 5 hours INTO Hurricane Isabel to begin her [Bumble's] show debut. (Ox Ridge Kennel Club & Northwestern Kennel Club) *I* thought I was meeting her [Amanda] on FRIDAY- not THURSDAY and so I screamed on the phone (!!!) and again when off the phone (!!!) and Bumble was THROWN into the car with her tail between her front legs (that's how scared she was of my voice) and ears back- and we were on the road within 5 minutes somehow! Thankfully everything was ready for the NEXT day- and so I just FLEW!

I'd still like to know how Amanda was the ever gracious, smilin' Amanda now knowing that idiot box me has now delayed her trip over two hours!
Bumble was scrambled into a crate (not hers) next to Tux (I LOVE that Tux) and she looked at him and he looked at her- and Amanda was on her way! Amanda surely didn't think that Bumble would start making noises 10 minutes into the trip.....but of course, she did. As it turns out she didn't need to piddle, she didn't need to poop- she wanted to PLAY with Tux. Imagine THAT ride Amanda had!
So the weekend was bound to be a fright thinks me- my little puppy who turned 7 months old yesterday- surely NOT as well behaved as the veteran, Tux....but Amanda was still all smiles and so upbeat as ALWAYS!---even at 4:30AM when Bumble HAD to go out in the hurricane force rains!

And so....the rest is History. I have a friend in CT (Sheryl) who thought that she might make it to the show, she didn't. I had another friend (Carol)who surprised me and arrived to take photos of Bumble in the ring- so that was GREAT as by that evening I had photos! I heard news from one friend that Bumble had won her class- and another class (I will be honest and tell you, though my Mother from the heavens above is cringing, I had NO idea - and still don't) and won Winners Bitch for a 5 pt. Major. Everyone thinking *I* know the point system never told me THIS! (Thank you Jenny for figuring this out for me!!! )Well..... I've always called Bumble "Mummy's Little Bitch" and so by the time the news had sunk in here, she was "Mummy'slittlewinnersbitch"!! Too funny for words- and I am VERY happy to congratulate Amanda and Holly Woodward (Amanda was in the ring with another winner and so Holly took Bumble into the ring) for their winning day with my little farm girl- now thinking everyday has new beginnings!
