Master Milestone

Lexi did the JJ gang proud completing her CKC Master Earthdog Title the weekend of June 18-19, 2011.
Her second and third legs came under John Schuster, and she earned her final leg under Lia Bijsterveld.

Good Neighbour

Lexi turned part of her CKC Canine Good Neighbour Test into a comedy performance, in Megan's words:

"She did really well for everything, then I had to do the "leave your dog with a friendly stranger for 3 minutes out of sight" exercise.
I left the building and hovered by the door. Then I heard laughter...then more laughter...waves of laughter for nearly the entire time...oh geez, what was going on in there? After I went back in I found out what was happening.
Once I had left, Lexi turned her attention on the lady holding her leash. She decided she wanted some cookies from this lady, but the lady wasn't paying attention to her. So she started offering behaviors. She sat..she laid down...she sat pretty...she laid down again...she rolled over...she sat pretty...all to no avail. This frustrated Lexi as she is pretty good at manipulating people for food. She turned her back to the lady, laid down again then kicked her back legs out behind her, froggy doggy style. Then she stared at the door I exited through and awaited my return.
The good news is LEXI PASSED! "

Flying High

Lexi earned her Onyx Flyball title the weekend of Aug 21-22, 2010. This means racking up a total of 20K points
Way to fly Lexi

Doing the family proud

Lexi earned the first leg towards her CKC Master Earthdog Title at the All Terrier Club of Alberta test on June 20, 2010. The judge was John Schuster

Lexi earns her Senior Earthdog title in Calgary August 1/2 2009

In Megan's words:

It was a great time, a bit nerve wracking because until this weekend she's never done a good recall at practice. She kept me on the edge too, she passed both tests on the first day, then decided to try the above ground version yesterday morning. So we only had one chance left to pass.
On her final run, she blew over the top again, but though better of it and ran back to the hole and did her work.
Then came the dreaded recall. I crawled right in by the hole she usually enters and exits and started calling and scratching. She likes to make me sweat by barking and whining for a while after they remove the quarry.
Then the barking stopped, and I was listening for her but couldn't hear her coming toward me. Then she appeared!! But not from where I was expecting to see her. She come out of the other hole which was behind me so I didn't see her until she came from behind me and tried to dive into the hole I was kneeling by.
Thankfully, I have extreme cat-like reflexes due in large part to having two very fast and sneaky JRTs . Just before she disappeared into the hole I grabbed her, held her up and screamed, "I'VE GOT HER!!!!" It was hilarious!

Lexi LOVES flyball

In early September 2008, Lexi achieved 15,000 points in flyball, and now has the new title of Flyball Master Champion!

No point in rushing!!!!

In Megan's words:

After 6 years of occasional trials Lexi finally has her JE title! Whoot whoot! She got her second leg exactly one year after her first.

She really seems to have "turned on", and is acting much more like her rat-crazy daughter, Nike. We had a great time at Maritime Madness 2008, it was WONDERFUL to be home for both weekends. What a crazy time, two ED trials and a Flyball tournie. Lexi had a great time, she is such a wonderful girl. It was great to see all of the Jansim family too, and the extra special treat of seeing my Handsome Bonus. What a stud muffin. :)

We'll see you in the dirt the next chance we get.

* this brag will benifit the Fort McMurray SPCA.

Maritime Madness Success

Lexi earned the first leg on her CKC Junior Earthdog Title at the ECDC ED Test in Sheffield, NB on July 28, 2007 under judge Duane Pulford
