Tux won the Veteran's Terrier Group at the Springfield, MA show on Easter Sunday just one week before his 11th birthday. Tux beat a younger Skye Terrier for the honor of representing Group IV in the Best Veteran in Show Competition.
In Amanda's words "Tux held his own in the Veterans BIS ring against multiple dogs who had been heavily
campaigned (multiple BIS) as youngsters. He LOVED hitting everyone at the show up for bait
('hey, I don't have to sit or anything - just looking cute and adorable is enough to con these people!') -
after all, the bait in someone else's pocket is always more exciting than the bait in your person's pocket!"
Sincere thanks to Amanda for sharing Tux's win with us, he is so very typical of what a veteran male Border should be - a gentleman who knows how to have fun.
This brag will benefit the AKC/Canine Health Foundation BT fund -- As Amanda noted - "an appropriate way to celebrate a win and a breed that tends to be healthy as veterans."
